Have You Read?I have been in a book club for more than ten years, January 1997 to be as exact as I can be. The group has remained at about 12 women, with some ladies leaving, some joining, some leaving and joining again, some not showing up for months at a time and others faithfully attending as much as possible (if only to get away from kids...who knows). Anyway, it has been a great experience for me. I have read a tremendous variety of books, many of which I would not have chosen on my own; loved many, hated some. We tried to avoid Oprah's book list, but often that was hard. Amidst the gossip, uh, I mean intellectual discussion, the wine and the tasty treats, we really did discuss each and every book. I thought I would share, if nothing else, the titles in case anyone is looking for a good book. When I can, I might write a brief review to encompass the whole groups' reaction. Our book-club members range from full-time stay-at-home moms, to part-time career women, to full-time bread winners, with different religions and backgrounds in the mix. We are a great bunch of women, if I do say so myself. I have supplied our book club list. Enjoy!
