If you don’t know it by now, music is what helps rock my world. I wish I wasn’t tone deaf or that I could turn a musical phrase, but alas, woe is me, that is not to be. However, I truly appreciate all kinds of music. Admittedly, some more than others. I.e. I am not a huge fan of country and rap, but I do love Zydeco. I can feel to all kinds of music.
Some members of my family are going through a rough time and on my walk today with Izzy, I heard some songs I wanted to recommend to them. Then I thought: Everyone has his or her good and bad days so these songs could be great for anyone.
Feel like crying, loudly, check out Annie Lenox’s “The Saddest Song I've Got.”"And I'm no longer hearing There's nothing left to say"...Or feel like laughing then check out some mind candy (a nod to HP on this one) by Lady Gaga. Pretty much any song will do, I think, but try this: "Cause I'm bluffin' with my muffin I'm not lying I'm just stunnin' with my-love-glue-gunnin"
Feel like embracing your anger? Feel like dancing wildly around while playing some air drums? Then listen to “Live and Let Die,” by Guns and Roses. Make sure you crank it.
"When you were young and your heart was an open book You used to say live and let live... ...But if this ever changin' world in which we live in Makes you give in and cry Say live and let die Live and let die"
Finally embrace yourself, love who you are and the freedom to be so. “Don’t be Afraid of Your Freedom,” by the Soup Dragons.
"I say love me hold me Love me hold me...
'...Cause I'm free To do what I want Any old time (I'm a new creation)"But watch out and strongly consider how your actions will affect others, now and forever.
There is so much music out there for every emotion and need. Check it out!
